HEAT TREATMENT
Through
Hardening & Solutionsing Aging of Steels are done
in the state-of-the-art Fumaces, ensuring uniform
Mechanical Properties. |

|
FRICTION
WELDING
Bimetal
Valves The head is of Austenitic Steel and
Stem is of Martensitic Steel welded together. Austenitic
is for heat resistance and the Martensitic Steel for
wear resistance. |
|
BUTTON
WELDING
Weld
Tip Hardenable material such as Martensitic
Steel button is welded to Austenitic Steel at the
end whereby the end is hardened to increase wear resistance. |

|
|

|
STELLITE
DEPOSIT
Stellite
Grade 6 or 12 is welded on the Seat to Improve
wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The Seat
itself undergoes a Stellite Coating Process |
|
SEAT
GRINDING
Seat
Grinding is done on the state-of-the-art machine to
ensure consistent concentricity and cylindricity to
match International Standards. |

|
|

|
INDUCTION HARDENING
SEAT & TIP
Valves
are hardened at the end to required length and area
to increase the Hardness as per Customers requirements
by special Induction Hardening Process. |
|
GROOVING
Cottor
Grooves are made as per Customer Requirements on a
special turning machine within close tolerances and
accuracy. |

|
| |

|
TUFFTRIDING
Valves
are Tuffrided to increase Surface Hardness of the
Steam and resistance to corrosion. The layer which
undergoes such treatment also acts as a Surface Protection,
limiting the danger of Seizure even in the absence
of Lubrication |
|
CHROMIUM
PLATING
Valve
Stem coated with Chrome Flash having 3-7 microns thickness
or Chrome Plated having thickness of 15-25 microns
to increase the Surface Hardness of Stem with consequent
sliding ease. |
