It aimed at improving the performance quality by reducing the quantity of the exhaust gases emitted into the atmosphere, in compliance with the rigid world environment norms.

In 1995, manufacturers of Two Wheelers took impressive steps to reduce exhaust emission, by replacing Two Stroke engines with Four Stroke ones, in a majority of multi-valve engines of small cubic capacity.
